Mazda Protegé 2002

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My transmission works fine wile running but when
the car is cold  ( mornings ) When I put it in reverse  
it take it quickly but when I put it in Drive it takes a
couple of seconds to take it and I  notice it's taking
a little more time now . What could it be? Cause I
thought it needed oil but level is OK and oil is clean
.

Good, but when was it last serviced? The filters do get clogged and need changed. It could also be a solenoid problem starting, you might want to get it scanned for any transmission codes, if you catch it early you can avoid an expensive repair later.

I just bought this car 6 months ago but your right, I'll take care of the filter and solenoids. I just don't know much about transmissions and needed an opinion, so thanks you so much.

What I have always done when I buy a used car is change all the fluids, and the timing belt if it has one, then check all of the belts, hoses and replace them if needed.
