how do i program my new key to my 2003 mazda tribute

i messed up key ignition and got a new one now my car wont turn over how do i program
my new ignition switch to the brain

I'm pretty sure you'll need the diagnostic software to enter the PATS system, so you'll need to tow the car to a dealership to do so. You can only program a new key if you already have 2 programmed keys to the vehicle. You can try calling a locksmith, they might have the tools to get you going and make a house call.
