What type's of motors can be used in a 2003 Mazda tribute 3.0 v6

I love my Mazda tribute an I would like to get it
fixed, but there was so many issue's with the
motors they used in the 2001 to 2004 model
motors . Is there any other options as of motors I
could use an thats cheaper

A Ford Escape and a Ford Tarus have the same engine
