The heat will not change to cool air (not air conditioning just cool air in general) in my 1998 Lincoln Navigator. Anyone else have this happen? if so what did you do?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The heat in my Navigator will not change to cool air.  Usually when you turn it down to 60
degrees you get some cool air but now it just continues to blow hot!  One person I talked
to said it could be one of two things.  Either way it would cost $500.00.  I really don't want
to spend that just to get the heat to shut off!

Cheap way would to put In a shut off valve in the heater hose. Use a good valve like a ball valve as it will completely stop the flow. Then hope the blend doors or servo motors don't fail, then you will have to spend the bucks.
