My 1999 Lincoln Continental is running rough and will stall while in gear and coming to a stop.The "Check Engine Soon" idiot light is flashing and the computer sends a display signal "Check Transmission"Any thoughts? I'm guessing something simple needs to be replaced.

My car will start but it's not holding no power it shut off but when I try to start it again it wouldn't not start anybody know it for 99 Lincoln Continental
