2000 Lincoln Continental the airbag light flashes then stays on the code is 36 is there someone that can help me figure out the code and how to fix this problem

Airbag light flashes then stays on I check the codes and it is 3 and then 6 I
assume that it is 36 but I do not know how to decode the code and locate
where the problem is

It means there's a problem with the circuit for driver's side air bag. Check for loose wires, bad ground etc. If you can't find it, have it scanned

When checking this out, do not use a self powered ohmmeter! Doing so will deploy the airbag! Be very careful when working on the airbag system! HTH. -Jim

Thank you I will do you think it's best to disconnect the battery before I start fooling around with it

Absolutely!! Once you disconnect the battery wait 5 minutes before working on it! The airbag system has a power reserve in case the battery becomes disconnected in a collision. The 5 minute wait time will allow the airbag system to discharge. HTH. -Jim
