I replaced the coil on my 1998 ford zx2 but forgot to reconnect the power connector to coil before cranking it up. Now it really runs rough. Did I throw the timing off

Recheck all you connections again. Maybe sure they are good and tight and use some dielectric grease on the connectors.

The timing is probably fine, check the other ignition components for loose connections, damage, etc.

U should be fine on that worse that would happen with that unplugged is just going to misfire. Take everything in reverse and check everything such as all connectors plugged in etc
