Wouldn't it be easier to hook up jumper cables and then pop the trunk. There should be a red plastic cover with a large + sign on it under the hood. Hook up the positive (+) jumper cable there and then hook up the negative (-) jumper cable to something metal, not painted, under the hood. HTH. -Jim

Jim, Yes that would be the easiest way. Unfortunately there isn't one to be found anywhere under the hood. Or I just can't find it. Any other ideas? Thanks Mike

Is the battery in the trunk? If so, look for a large metal lug on or near the underhood fuse box. That'll be for the positive jumper cable. Maybe the red plastic cover was removed by someone else and not replaced. HTH -Jim

Are the accessory plugs where you plug it in and charge the car safe to use as I'v seen on various websites.

Okay I'm having the same prob but I have no clue what charger your speaking of

If you have a key the key hole may be cold, just warm it up with warm water. You can also use lighter or whatever is handy for just a second. The key should turn and the trunk should pop open.
