Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My son accidentally installed his new battery backwards.  After replacing the 80 am fuse, the radio would still not turn on.  The fuse was still good.  I'm told there is a security code to enter for a reset, but there is no power at all to the radio.  What am I missing?  Is there an in-line fuse that I can't find?  A magic trick I don't know?  Please help!!!

Sorry to say but your radio, may be bad,it had direct fire threw it ,reversed polariity when your battery hooked up backward,s, burnt it up.

One more, question ,did it happen to be a after market radio,or factory, some after market,s have fuse in wireing harness, but factory doe,s not.
