Heat in 99 Taurus

Asked by Nov 06, 2016 at 04:08 PM about the 1999 Ford Taurus SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I recently took my 99 Taurus to flush
coolant and heater core to see if it would fix
my heat. well they said heater core is fine
and that it's an electrical problem that the
a/c isn't turning off even when put on vent.
Now they said I need to take it to Ford
dealership for the fix but I'd much rather fix it
myself so has anyone had this problem or
know what I need to do before I pay
someone else too much for something I can
do would I just need to replace the switch
below the dash please help!

I'd find another mechanic, no need to take it to the dealer. But check this..http://www.ar15.com/archive/topic.html? b=1&f=134&t=968140
