Does Ford install mileage tracking devices on some of their vehicles?

Mileage is kept track of by the ECU. Are you worried the government is watching you? Do you have a guilty conscience?

Not necessarily but many newer vehicles will report the mileage or oil life percentage so you can get email reminders for maintenance. They're not tracking the mileage for any other reason. At least I don't think they would be. You can always opt out of the service if it makes you feel uncomfortable. Hope that helps! Jim

Look up Ford Telematics. They do have the ability to spy on you!
