2018 F150 2.7 - check engine lights on, high indication temperature of water coolant and revving fan

We have a 2018 F-150 2.7. Vehicle
was sitting all night, started it up this
morning check engine light came on,
message saying engine coolant
temperature high, and if an revving
very high. Coolant was at the add
Mark, added water shut the truck
down. Started it up rad fan still
revving very loudly. Does anybody
know what could be causing this?
Only has 10,000 k

It is still under factory warranty so take it to the dealership's service department.

As Bob said, bring it to the dealership under warranty. Unless you can see a visible leak, a new vehicle should not require more coolant in only 10K miles. YOu could have a problem with turbochargers. I believe Ford uses the engine coolant to cool the charger, could be a problem there.

Check your temperature sensor. 1299 code. Mine went bad. Changed it out and problem solved. It’s located on driver side next to your cylinder.
