2004 Kia Rio knocking sound when engine gets hot

What happens as the oil get hot in the engine it can lose its lubricity and any part that is marginal may start to act up. Not a fix, just a patch, change you oil and use a slightly thicker oil, and add some Lucas oil additive. Good Luck


As the oil heats up, it gets thinner- wouldn't surprise me if you have worn engine bearings- but I would have to hear the "knocking sound" to tell you for sure- but it "sounds" like it's time for a new car- and something other than a Kia, please-
