I have a 2004 kia optima. it will turn over but it wont start, like it is not getting any gas. I go and pumpit a little and it will once and a while but not always. What could that be?

Try spraying a little bit of starting fluid down the throttle body and see if it starts. The engine will probably die after it is all burnt out. This would tell me if there is a fuel issue, that you would have to start checking with a fuel pressure gauge. Could be a fuel pump, or a fuel regulator.
