how to replace battery terminals

Asked by Jun 05, 2013 at 08:32 PM about the 2004 Kia Optima LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I need to know how to replace the positive battery terminal on my 2004 kia optima. It is a
differnt terminal than the one on the negative side. The negative side has a wire that
attches to the terminal and that attaches to the battery. The positive side has a wire that
attches to a little black box (next to the battery) then goes to a different looking terminal
and then it attaches to the battery. I was told that terminals are pretty universal, and thats
true on the negative side. But the positive side is completely different. I need to know how
to fix it and where to get the right terminal.

Local auto parts store, or the parts department at your local Kia dealer.
