My car only has 127000 miles is in excellent

Do you have any power anywhere? there is a good possibility that you yanked the battery check your battery connections

It wont start it'll turn over but won't crank

OK so it turns but it will not start?

If the starter turns the motor do I understand correctly

Yes it does. I'm thinking timing belt or crank sensor

There is a reset button for the fuel pump you may want to check it out
