Looking to buy an older C10 67-72 what would be the costs of buying a fixer upper. Drivetrain/suspension and brake upgrade. I find a lot with solid body's but not the engine options I'm looking for

The costs on a 40 to 50 year old truck? That would depend on condition and what you want to do with the truck. It could be anything from a tuneup for a $100 to $50,000 for a show winning restoration. Trucks will start out at $1,000 or so and go up from there. I would recommend buying a good solid truck that someone has sunk 20 grand into and they are selling for 10 grand.
