My 2005 Kia Sorento has a "door ajar" or hinge problem.
The hinge on my drivers side door is sagging just a bit, and every time I make a right turn
the dome light comes on, an alarm sounds, and the "door ajar" light comes on. From the
outside it's barely noticable and the door appears closed. It seems to be very sensitive.
I can touch the door and make it stop. How to I adjust the hinges to make the door close
Most hinges are not adjustable easily, if you can open the door about a foot and then lift on the door and can feel and see the door move up as you lift then the hinges need to at the very least be repinned. If your door switches are inside the door latch they are not adjustable, but if they are in the door opening then some of them can be adjusted. Check the door striker, if it is a round pin style you maybe able to loosen it slightly and move it in a little, that could make it stop for a while but things will continue to wear and it will start again.
