How to listen to radio when keyless ignition is off? 2017 Honda CRV.

Read your owners manual! New owners should be required to read the manual before they get the keys to their car.

Poke the engine start button. Don't push it long enough to start the engine. That will wake the generator up and send power to the radio and other accessories.

Grab a beer and sing it like ya wrote it !!!

2017 Pilot accessories on mode instructions are on page 111 of the owners guide. Push the engine start button without your foot on the brake pedal.

In response to F_O_R, I will respectfully say that your response is not helpful. I checked the Owners Manual and it's not in there. There are 8 citations of Accessory Power but none addressed this question. I did, however, find the answer in another post - from GuruWXMFF who obviously knew the answer. So, before you presume to lecture anyone, please get your facts straight or do us all a favor and stay silent.

If you hit the button without your foot on the brake the accessories turn on without the engine. Radio, fans, dash lights, ... Is there a way to just play the radio?

This is another one of those sucky things I found with Honda Accord and CRV (there are the others like the windows and subnroof opening if you squeeze fob by accident.) So if your car is running and you want to keep listening to the radio but turn engine off, you need to do the following dumb ass procedure: Put car in Gear (Drive or Reverse is fine) Hold Brake Push Stop engine Button. If you don't want to roll back or forward engage Hand Brake. Do not leave your car!! Kinda stupid procedure. Putting the car in Park turns off everything. You cannot start engine with car not in Park.

On my 2016 Pilot, I found that I could turn on the radio, wipers, etc., by keeping the car in Park, then hitting the Start button twice. No foot on the brake. If I was stopping somewhere and wanted to listen to the radio without the engine running, I'd stop the engine, then hit Start twice, and all the accessories would be available.
