whats wrong with my Ford Ranger XLT 4.0 extended cab 4x4

Asked by Feb 12, 2015 at 10:01 AM about the 1999 Ford Ranger XLT Extended Cab Stepside 4WD SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

This truck wants to go go go.  In park it Idles just fine. When in gear it is pushing like it
wants to go even when pushing on the brakes.  I know my rear brakes need to be
tightened but here is an example of how its trying to go. Sitting on a small snowy hill
waiting to pull out into traffic I have the brakes on and the rear tires are spinning. It just
wants to go all the time.  AT 50mph I can let off the gas and she keeps on a trucking!
Just had a ton of work done to it BUT this was not fixed.  The mechanic checked for
air leaks but didn't find any.  Whats next?  Whats the issue?

check for if the brakes are bled right and the shoes on the back are for your e brake and they will probably need to be changed . thee throttle needs cleaned and that is y it does not go down when you take your foot off the gas

Is it easy to clean the throttle? Probably can check youtube and find out how to do it? Whats the easiest way to clean it?
