i just replaced my battery but now the new battery is saying its low on power when looking at the gauge. although its not completely dead. could it be the alternator?? feel free to leave other ideas o
Most Batteries have enough juice to start cars. Just because they are new don't mean they are fully charged..Crank it and watch your gauge..it will read a little high then get back to 13-14 volts..
Have the parts store check alternator also....it's FREE
when i start it reads high. but when driving and at idle its below normal its in the red area on the gauge
voltage regulator.......do you have one on the fire wall or fender or GM has them in the alternator..FIX IT..... before you burn some wires...
I agree with Shannon. Have alternator checked. Also a loose or corroded battery connection could cause the same issue. Also check frame and motor negative connection. If they are loose or corroded it will also cause this.
i haven't had time to see a mechanic with the holiday. i just got off workbso hopefully i can find someone open on Saturdays
As Dan said....follow all the cables, clean and start there..
