Does anyone know if you can get motor mount bracket to put an older 4.0 into a 1999 Ranger
I am swapping a 4.0 from a 1995 Ford Ranger in a 1999 ford ranger and I and missing bosses and bolt holes for the motor mounts. Does and one make conversion brackets for motor mounts?
my advise is to find a specialist club scene who may be able to assist in your project there maybe a member who specialises in such a conversion at reasonable cost
If Ford changed the motor mount system between those years you will have to fabricate new mounts. You will probably want to use the motor mount that fits the motor and then have a welder fabricate a mounting point on the frame that fits it.
Have you considered the smog issue of putting an old motor in a newer truck? You likely will never be able to pass smog inspection.
Smog doesn't apply in my location
