Question type: General

Yep that is way they make O2 safe silicone sealer, spray silicone will do the same thing if it gets into the intake while the engine is running. Code 51 is O2 lean could be a bad O2sensor but could also be a faulty reading from the MAP sensor, make sure you don't have any vacuum leaks and you have good fuel pressure and flow. HTH

I had just change intake n exhuast manifold gasket never had check engine lite b4 now I do.Also sprayed off int. w solvent and painted it.Where is map sensor there is something on fire wall w vac. line going 2 itWould the silicone burn off I,ve driven probly 100 miles that I could just change o2 sensor

The map sensor is on the firewall, it will have a vacuum line going to it and also an electrical plug with either 3 or 4 wires in it. Once the silicone contaminates the O2 sensor it will not burn off, the sensor will have to be replaced.

what i ment by burnoff was will i have to take off manifolds and scrape off silicone from there. Is there any thing other than the vac line in the intake that would go bad from the map sensor or is it all on fire wall

Once the sealer sets then the contamination goes away. Vacuum line can become brittle can crack, wiring can be stressed over time and break internally, the sensor can go bad at any time, no reason. There Jeep forums on the internet that give all kinds of information about your Jeep.
