Has any 1 who has owned older jeep's ever had them jumped time, mine has 177,000 miles

Finished replacing crank,oxygen sensor as well as the pickup coil & it's really
pissing me off

Some older cam in block engines had gears with plastic teeth. The teeth eventually fall off and they can skip time. The cam chain can also stretch.
