the windshield wipers quit working in my 97 Jeep Cherokee how do i fix this

They were working on the intermittant and fast speed and then the other day they quit
working altogether ... where is the wiper motor or how can I check to see if that is what it
is?

here is a wiring diagram. First thing I would do, Is ck for power at the circuit breaker. Is it not letting power flow? The wiper switch is the weakest part of the system. The wiper motor is out under the cowl. Remove wiper arms and screws that hold cowl cover on. Then remove the bolts that hold the wiper assm. to the body. then you can remove it. You might try tapping on motor, with key and switch on. before removing it to see if it takes off. You may need a test light to ck. power and grounds at motor.Hope this helps.....
