all lights work except for both brake lights.

Asked by Aug 24, 2016 at 03:16 PM about the 1999 Ford Mustang Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 99 ford mustangs brake lights don't
work but my tail lights do. Ive checked all
the fuses and bulbs, all good. Brake light
switch seems good and wires to the switch
are good. Anyone with advice?

May be the turn signal switch. Usually the outboard brake lights get power from the brake light switch, which passes through the turn signal switch. But the high mount stoplight (3rd brake light) gets power directly from the brake light switch. HTH. -Jim
