I have no brake lights.all other lights work. Hard to put car in drive

all lights work except brake lights. Hard to put car in drive

Check the fuse first, if that's o.k. the brake light switch at the brake pedal is probably the problem. as far as the shifter, check for any loose bolts or binding cable to the shift mechanism at the column under the knee bolster.
