I have a 1999 3.8 mustang 5 speed. I can get a 1996 mustang 5 speed pretty reasonable. Will the 96 work in the 99? both are 3.8 v-6.

The trans in both years are the same,1994-Today, but give me a day , and i'll check to see if the bell housings are the same, I do believe they are, but i will get back to you asap..I do know the 4-speed changed in in 1995 from a AODE to a 4R70W models.Transmission hope this helps....
