Jeep would barely idle, pushing on accelerator made it worse then it would die. After trying it a few times it wouldn't even start. I waited about an hour then it started just fine?

There may be a vacuum leak, check for vacuum leaks. Or it is a fuel pressure issue. Some fuel test would need to be done to determine if everything is ok. I could see a fuel regulator doing this.
