I have a 2000 jeep wrangler 4.0 aftermarket radiater.my jeep idles fine and up to 55 mph Temps are good over 55 temp rises to around 230.could it be the thicker radiater not getting enough air through
You could be partially right about air flow, make sure you cooling fans is fully functional and is turning the right direction, pulling air in not pushing air out. Then when did you change out the thermostat? They do fail, sometimes they open but not fully so then you have a restricted flow and your temps start to rise.
