4x4 light blinking

somtimes  4x4 engages by its self wen turning, then pops out ....then4x4 light
blink  then goes out...now wont ingage into 4x4 ,,please help

The blinking was saying something is wrong with the system, and to have to checked out as soon as possible before something major happens. Now something has actually happened, you will have to have the system thoroughly checked over to find out if it is a major problem or not.
