Need to purge the air out of the cooling system.
Right Rowefast, 4.7's can be a real problem getting the air out. I remember 1 that I finally had to elevate the left rear wheel up about 10 inches and screw in a plastic funnel into the bleeder hole and just kept adding coolant slowly until it just wouldn't take any more then started the engine and added more before finally putting the bleeder plug back in, took over a hour to get it all out. Remember these are reverse flow cooling systems, so the hot coolant comes in the bottom of the radiator and is forced upwards to the top for cooling. HTH
