transmission hard downshift

Hi Brinkley. About all you can do is verify the correct fluid level in the transmission. If it is low correct it. After you have the correct fluid level, if the problem persists you need to put it in front of a mechanic, preferably a transmission specialist. You will want to do this as soon as possible, transmission problems don't usually self heal, they only get worse and more expensive if ignored. Good luck!
