Y do i get vibration when driving?

Asked by pespo Dec 19, 2014 at 10:07 AM about the 2003 Jeep Liberty Sport 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When driving, sometimes the vehicle will start to vibrate.  When you let off the gas it will stop. It seems to do it when you are going over 40 miles an hour. It vibrates for a few seconds quickly and other times it wont stop until you let off the gas.  A code said something about a torque converter clutch I believe. Sometime when driving the engine light will flash and it will put along.  When stopped it feels very vibraty and takes some time to accelerate. If ou shut the car off for a minute or two, it drives smoothly again until the engine light comes back on.

First put the key in the ingestion, turn all the way until, just before it starts. you don't want to start it, just before where all the lights in the interment panel come on.O.K. Do this once, then off real fast .repeat on, then off, do this in sequence three times fast, and then wait for the codes to pop up under the rpm gage where the odometer is. there should be codes,P XXXX Depending whats wrong here's a few for you to ponder lol lol...ons on all other Jeep diagnostic trouble codes.
