03 liberty with command trac if front drive shaft is missing
Yes it should but be aware that it won't handle the same and there could be a slight pulling problem on take off, drive gently. Why is the front drive line missing?
yes i went to look at this liberty doesnt move guy said transfer case is problem because he cant get it 2 go in 4wd i noticed front drive shaft was missing he didnt know it was didnt know if that could be whole problem trying to figure out how to determine if trany or transfer case is problem
That is a good question. As Jeep has trouble with trannys as well as the transfer case and it won't move I would say you have both problems, the transfer case was the first thing to go as the front driveline is missing, now the tranny has went bye bye as it won't move.
There is always the chance the transfercase is stuck in neutral. If run low on fluid, the gear that changes from low to high, will wear through the fork. Then slip into neutral.
If you put transmission into rev, then back into park. you should hear the parking pawl inside trans clatter real loud(WHIRR). if it does this, prob. is in transfercase. If no noise, transmission is bad.
u will still hear parking paw even if trans case is stuck in neutral right im hoping 2 try that tomorrow if not monday I'll keep u posted thans
found some different things going on once i was able to start it but listening 4 parking paw was good idea
I have a similar problem but my front right c/v shaft is out of it.i just purchases it for my wife for Christmas ...mine shifts fine but its like its stuck in 4 low
