Question type: General

I own an '02 beryl green jeep liberty & over the last 2 years I have seen a jeep color that is similar to a gorgeous reddish-orange that I am absolutely in love with. I would love to have my jeep repainted in this color through MAACO, but I can't find anyone who knows the exact name of this color. I have even called several jeep dealers & done numerous searches on the internet for the last 2 weeks & I still can't find anything specific. The closest names I have come up with so far are "Inferno Red Tinted Pearlcoat" & "Inferno Red Crystal Pearlcoat", but I don't know if either color is the correct one. In addition to the color name, I would also need the paint code number as well. Please help me!

Visit www.paintscratch.com, they have color codes and paint chips available by year, make, and model so you can see them online. Inferno red is more of a reddish metallic, there is an orangish color too, but I'm not sure which one you're referring too, as personal vision differences make quite a bit of difference when talking about colors. You might also try to find a vehicle that is in the color you like, and get the VIN off of it. A Jeep dealer can decode this VIN and tell you the paint color code.

I didn't find any orange Jeep Liberty colors available, but I did find that in 2002, a color called Amber Fire Pearlcoat was offered on the Wrangler. It looks like it could be what you are talking about. http://www.cars.com/go/crp/research.jsp?section=photosAndColors&crpPage=photosAndColors.jsp&makeid=23&modelid=249&year=2002&myid=&acode=&mode=&aff=national

the color you're looking for is Red Rock Crystal Pearl Coat (discontinued Nov. 17, 2008). I'm in love with this color too. I wish they still had this option, but if you want to get your car painted that color, the info is here: http://www.wkjeeps.com/wk_colors.htm EEM PEM 05163099AA 05163100AA 73906
