My ABS, Traction control and another light are coming on
I just had pads put on my emergency brakes. Now my Jeep is locking up on me and the
three lights keep coming on. It does this in forward and reverse. Any ideas?
Hate to say this but double check your work. Either not installed properly or out of adjustment due to new pad thickness.
Could also be rubber hoses going to calipers twisted or bad.
Yes,there is and adjustment on your e-brake.it,s called a clicker.it,s in the hub, they need adjusting,
And dandy, there is no hose to e-brake,only cable.
If you mean what you said about you just HAD pads put on; then, get back with whomever did the work for you.
Yes TST I very much aware of that. Just threw it out there cause on some models you have to remove the brake caliper(disk brakes) then remove rotor to even change the e brake pads FYI ( they are positioned inside the rotors) . If that was his case he would have moved those rubber hoses. Not a newbie here dude.
By your answer to that one makes me wonder. Hmmmmm.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=iLrn1E1xhLM -- FYI he did have to remove the caliper and rotor. And move those rubber hoses around!!!
Im no newbie ethier dandy, infact im still learning because there are new car,s every day and we all have to learn them, and i wasn,t posting that against you,but that said, they can adjust there brakes,by removing the rubber cap,and use a brake tool adjust them, without removing wheel. Better dandy?
Yes,he did,but ,that has nothing to do with the e-brake problem.
But if they got twisted it will cause the brake(disk) on that side to lock up. I always try to look at everything involved in the process to give the best answer possible. Even the parts of it that they not mentioning but can also cause their issue. Yes I know you not a newbie. You give good answers and in no way did I mean to insinuate anything other than that.
We cool dandy : )
Yes all is good.
