Either the scanner port is fault, one of the pins is bent, or there is something wrong with the PCM. I'd try taking it to the Jeep dealer or another mechanic to find out what the issue is.

these use a CAN bus system. your code reader is probably too old.autozone can prob. read it, or dealer.
