There is a delay exit protocol that is programmed intothe body control module, it will turn off things like the radio, dome lights HVAC system, power windows after a predetermined amount of time, but it does not shut the 12 power completely down.

Can't happen on your year, make and model, it needs parasitic loads to keep the computers alive so the factory presets won't get deleted from the processor chips, that's why a saver tool is so important when doing any work on the electrical system. It's still under warranty if it is still the 2017 listed above,if it's killing the battery then something is not set right.
