will my o/d light flash if im low on transmission fluid ?

A blinking O/D light means there is a transmission fault code or overheating, so yes. Fix the leak and replace the fluid ASAP before internal damage is done.

there is no leak it was just low on transmission fluid so i added a quart ... should i drop the pan and do the whole fluid change ?would this hurt the transmission like on the 03 ford explorers?? .. ive only had the car for 3 months and no service records .... it has 188k on it shift funny with reverse but still shifts great every where else....
