What engine can I swap into a 2017 accent sedan

Asked by ItJustGotReal4U Oct 19, 2019 at 07:46 AM about the 2017 Hyundai Accent SE Sedan FWD

Question type: Car Customization

I know it sounds strange but i love the car and engine going
bad so I would like if possible to drop something else in
there, nothing fancy, im good with 200hp or so but within a
realistic price range.

A bad engine already? Hyundai has a 10 year powertrain warranty. Have it replaced under warranty. But if you are entertaining installing another engine, the cost of the customization will exceed the cost of the vehicle. Today's vehicles are all computer controlled. You would need to swap a lot more parts and programming to get another engine and transmission working in your car. I say the cost will be high as the labor cost will be huge as I don't see many people customizing Hyundai's.

No practical options but to install the exact same engine as what you have now.

Have you checked if the veloster turbo 1.6 liter engine works? I think it hits 200 hp.
