I just got a 1999 Ford Escort.

It's next to the coolant, but I don't know what to pour into the white box.

Power steering fluid

Reservoir for power steering fluid and if you don't have access to any power steering fluid in a pinch you use Mercon ATF automatic transmission fluid.

my son told me that I have to put transmission fluid in my 97 ford escort reservoir instead of power stern fluid is that correct

Just replaced the spark plugs and wires because of a misfire in cylinder #2. I am not a car person so I have no idea if this could have caused it and I did not drive it before I fixed it today.

my escort wont start and the alternator starter battery ignition cylinoid and plugs and wires. are new. anyone know what is wrong with it. 1990 ford escort 4dr hatchback wagon 4 Answers

i replaced all that and it still wont start. i cant even push start it. it been doing it since i flushed radiator and refilled it. also the battery is getting drained and it is a brand new battery.
