1999 Ford Escort

The car has been driving fine up until the other day-and then I when I went to stop at a
stop sign and I gave the car some gas and it would not move--all my gears and reverse are
gone--what can cause this to happen-transmission fluid is full....

Possible transmission failure. Only way to know is to have a mechanic look at it.
