Coolant leak 95 Isuzu Rodeo
as soon as I pour water in the radiator, water begins pouring out of
the bottom front of the engine. It seems to run right off the front rim
of the oil pan, the truck don't even have to be running. I was thinking
water pump but it seems dry under there. Is there a freeze plug up
front or a hose I can't see or something?
You forgot the engine style, V6 or 4 cylinder.
3.2 V6 sorry
The water pump is driven by the timing belt on the V6 engine so it is hidden from view by the timing covers, and from your description of where the coolant is coming from I suspect the water pump is the leak, so you might as well replace the timing belt and pulleys while your there. Check with your local parts store, they do make a kit that contains everything you need to do the job right. Don't scrimp, replace everything in the complete kit or you will be back in there with more expensive problems later.
I'll start there, thanks for your advice, I'll keep you posted! :-)
My customer is going the copper, liquid glass route......GOOD LUCK....I advised against it.....band-aid AT BEST!!!
That bad of a leak it won't work, it most likely just run out and not do a thing, but it will if given half a chance plug a good radiator and heater core.
I tried to tell them, but you know given the alternative, people will try anything.I told them, "you'll be back.."..(in so many words)......
Did uyou figure out this problem ?did the water pump and timing kit work for u?
