Preventative Maintenance on Subaru Forester

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought a 2017 Subaru Forester last November and it has almost 50,000 miles
on it. I want to do some preventative maintenance beyond changing the oil to
make sure it runs for a long time. I have a pretty small budget and don't want
to get ripped off. What would you suggest I do?

Change the CVT fluid. If you have not done it, change the air filter and the cabin air filter. If you want, spend $10 on some Techron for the gas tank.

How often do you change oil? I recommend every 5,000 miles with synthetic.

I do change the oil about every 5000 miles with synthetic every time. I changed the cabin air filter a few months ago. Thanks for the advice!
