my 2017 silverado Z71 was in 4x4 mode when i left the dealer
Left the dealer with my 2017 chevy silverado
1500 the dealer must have left in in 4x4
mode and didn't realize it was in till i got
home! Could i have damaged somthing by
driving in 4x4 mode on the highway?
You really should drive in over 40 MPH, if it was a short ride I would not worry that much it's a new truck, just be mindful that you don't do that again...
Cometguy is right, but it did seem odd that you didn't feel it especially when you went around corners, was it in true 4X4 mode or was it in AUTO mode? If it was in AUTO that tells me why you didn't feel it. You can run it in AUTO mode on the black top but it is a waste of fuel if there are no slick, snowy, or rainy conditions. With the weather in my area right now I have mine in AUTO until the roads get better.
Won't hurt it, might be rough on tires if you leave it that way, especially if the roads are dry.
