Emblems wiggle

Asked by Dec 28, 2016 at 01:45 AM about the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT 4WD Z71

Question type: General

Is it normal for chevrolet silverado emblems on
tailgate to have a little give/ move a little? I always
thought they were bolted on.

Most are just glued on with 3M tape, others use a little clip that hold the emblem on, and still some of the larger emblems are bolted but they use a special plastic retainer nut that digs into the mounting studs of the emblem to hold in place.

Your new Chevy is made mostly of glue, plastic and wires- not like the old ones- welcome to the 21st Century

Should have bought a Ford. Emblems don't fall off of them.
