2000 isuzu tropper the trans slips if you start out to fast, is this an expensive fix

You will have to get the pressures checked at a transmission shop to know for sure, but I'd would say that it just might take a rebuild to fix it.

Mine was slipping also until I figured out that I had mot put enough fluid last time I changed the fluid. Make sure the fluid is even with the upper fill screw with the engine idling and the temp at middle or slightly lower (about 155* F). If it slips after confirming the levels are good the its time to take it into the shop.
