2017 Chevy Cruz idle and running rough

Asked by Dec 08, 2019 at 12:39 AM about the 2017 Chevrolet Cruze LS Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2017 Cruze (61k miles) started idling rough
about 3 weeks ago. Took it to a shop and they told
me it needed new plugs and a fuel system
cleaning and had a random misfire code. Ok, did
that. Ran better for a few days. Took it to
autozone to pull code, nothing showed up. Waited
5mins and a cylinder 1 misfire popped up. Ordered
a coil pack and nothing changed. Drove for a few
days and a cheak engine light came one (knock
sensor). Replaced that and nothing changed. Took
it to the dealership last week, they ran full
diagnostic. They told me the purge valve was
stuck open and there was stored codes saying the
turbo wasn't building enough boost. I came home
and replaced purge valve and it ran better for a day
or two. Now it's getting worse, it still run at
highway speeds but it is sputtering. Check engine
like came on tonight for the 2nd time ever. I'll pull
the codes tomorrow.  What's going on? Is there a
PCV valve somewhere that's bad? It's not on the
valve cover. I can't keep throwing parts at it. And
the dealer was positive it was the purge valve. But
when I took off the old one it was closed, not
stuck open like they said. This has caused alot of
stress for me and my wife since it's our only car.
