2002 Isuzu Rodeo LS 3.2L Automatic Transmission problems

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The tranny on my Rodeo was leaking a few months back, so I got it fixed,
and it has been running great until a few days ago. When at a stop, I'd
have to shift it all the way down to Low to get it to go forward, then I would
slowly shift up to Drive again.  When in Drive, it was fine on the streets and
on the freeway. Then the check Tranny light came on. I took it to a tranny
place, where they had it for 2 days, and still hadn't done any diagnosis or
work on it, except for checking the code, which was P0756-Shift solinoid B
stuck off. They kept giving me the run around, telling me it was going to
cost me thousands to put in a new tranny....so I just brought it home,
instead.  They were quite mad that I didn't leave it there!   Anyway, on my
way home, while in Drive, it just slipped out of gear.  I tried down shifting,
but neither 3rd or 2nd gears worked, either.  I had to come to a stop, then
drive it home the last 2 blocks in Low gear.  So now, all I have are Low gear
and Reverse.  There was also a P0401 check engine code on it, but my
brother took out the EGR valve and cleaned it all up, replaced the gasket,
and that code went away.   So...do we need to replace the B solinoid?
(The tranny fluid was still full and in normal condition)  Thanks ahead of
time for any help or recommendations!

I would replace the whole pack, when 1 goes the others are not too far behind, and after you have replaced them I would put in some LubeGuard for that tranny I believe it is a GM.
